What is a Read Receipt email?

If the sender wants to know whether the recipient has read the email, they can use a Read Receipt.

The email will send a request for a receipt to the recipient. When the recipient checks the email, a pop-up window will appear to request a Read Receipt. When the recipient agrees, a Read Receipt email will be automatically sent to the original sender.
